Solar Radiations

Reduce the radiation of direct sun light through the use of Non-metalized and Color-stable Nano Particles (Ceramic and Carbon) Films or Multi layer Films.  The following are a few factors to look for in material in reducing heat: TSER Total Solar Energy Rejected and IR (InfraRed) rejection.

Solar Eclipse
Sunny Sky

Ceramic IR Series

Rejects up to 99% UV, 95% of Infrared rejections* and

66% of total solar energy (TSER)* , reducing the feel of the sun’s heat on your skin for optimal thermal comfort

Provides great infrared heat rejection due to the absorptive nano-ceramic technology

Metal-free design won’t interfere with electronics, GPS, satellite radio or mobile devices, including 5G

Multi Layer Nano Series

Features film manufacturer proprietary multilayer film with nano technology

Due to its proprietary multi-layer construct, the film add additional total solar energy rejects (TSER) more than many dark films without sacrificing the style of your vehicle, making it the superior choice for comfort.  Depend on the option of the film, TSER rating do go as high as 71%, a long with 99% UV rejection, up to 99%of Infrared (IR) rejection and solar absorption can go as high as 89%.

Hybrid Ceramic (non-metalized or non-highperformance)Series

Manufacturer's proprietary technology that allows both ceramic and carbon particles (non-metal/non-highperformance material) to share the duty of protecting from sun ray with the advantages of both while significantly reducing the downsides they would have on their own. It's unique formula decreases the size of carbon particles down to a nano scale to enhance clarity and also heat reduction.  The combination increase the heat reduction without having the side effect of metalized or high-performance signals interference such as WIFI, blue-tooth, cellular, radio. GPS.

Depend on film series, film has Infrared (IR) rejection ranging from 53% to 81%, UV rejection at 99% while TSER at 66% and this is built with color stability to prevent color change to purple or fade to clear.

Terms to know

IRR – Infrared Rejection (IR)* rating

The percentage of solar infrared energy rejection over the wavelength range from 900-1,000 nm. Infrared rays are the primary that responsible for the heat you feel when driving. The higher this value, the less solar heat is transmitted.

IRER – Infrared Energy Rejection

Percent of solar infrared energy that is rejected over the wavelength range from 780 – 2,500 nm.  This is differ from IRR above.  See https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b5005118130/

TSER – Total Solar Energy Rejection rating

The percentage of total solar energy rejected by filmed glass. The higher this value, the less solar heat is transmitted.

VLT – Visible Light Transmitted (aka shade/darkness)

The percentage of visible light that passes directly through filmed glass: the higher the number, the lighter the film.

Ultraviolet Rejection (UV)

The percentage of ultraviolet (UV) light that is rejected by the filmed glass. UV light contributes to color changes on skin inclusive of the fading and deterioration of fabrics and leather.

Tint Shades/VLT

Shade percentage is the percentage of visible light that passes directly through filmed glass: the higher the number, the lighter the film.  Tint may look lighter in the daylight in comparison to evening as more light transmit to inside of your vehicle causing the perspective vision to be lighter.

Note that different States do have different regulations as to legal limit for the front 2 door and rear part of the vehicles and  shades options are vary depend on the type of films
